$150M N.J. plan would end 50-year drought in new hotels

Historic Cape May, N.J., may see its first new hotel in a half-century if an upscale resort developer wins approval for a $150 million project. Icona wants the proposed location for the 160-room hotel designated a redevelopment site, which would enable it to bypass normal zoning, planning, historic preservation and environmental tests.
