$2.21B deal gives Gates rule over Four Seasons

Bill Gates has taken control of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts through an agreement to pay $2.21 billion for a 23.75% stake. Co-owner Saudi Prince al-Waleed bin Talal’s Kingdom Holding Co. sold half its stake to Gates’ Cascade Investment LLC, which will hold 71.25% of the luxury hotel operator, valued at $10 billion.
