The biggest commercial or residential development on New York’s Long Island in a half-century has won the approval of the Regional Planning Council. The $2.8 billion mixed-use project will be the product of a public-private partnership teaming Suffolk County, the town of Islip and JLL, offering 2.7 million square feet of space for life sciences, health care and hospitality, as well as a convention center and space for retail, restaurants and entertainment.
