2025 Audi e-Tron GT Electric Sedan: Unveiling the Brand’s Most Powerful Model Ever
Audi has introduced a new pinnacle of power within its lineup with the 2025 e-Tron GT, now featuring the RS GT Performance trim. This new addition pushes the boundaries of electric performance, boasting an astonishing 680 kW, or 912 horsepower, making it the most powerful production Audi ever.
The lineup includes three trims: the S e-Tron GT, the RS e-Tron GT, and the top-tier RS e-Tron GT Performance, each offering a different level of intensity but all delivering what Audi describes as “insane” power levels. The S e-Tron GT starts the range with a robust 671 hp, followed by the other trims which provide up to 844 horsepower.
Currently available for order in Europe, the RS GT Performance trim has yet to hit the American market, with details on its U.S. release still pending. Regardless of the trim selected, the e-Tron GT continues to represent Audi’s commitment to cutting-edge technology and sustainability, featuring a lighter battery pack that reduces the vehicle’s weight by 19.8 pounds and increases the capacity to 97 kWh net, up from 83.7 kWh.
Innovations include an updated regenerative braking system capable of handling a 400-kW peak, enhancing the efficiency of energy recapture. Another highlight is the dual red thumb buttons on the RS models labeled “Boost” and “RS.” The “Boost” button offers a 10-second, 94-horsepower increase, while the “RS” button allows drivers to toggle through two customizable driving modes for dynamic handling.
Stylistically, the e-Tron GT maintains its sleek, recognizable Audi aesthetics with minor updates such as a body-colored strip above the signature “Singleframe” grill and a 3D honeycomb pattern reminiscent of Audi’s gas-powered vehicles. The vehicle sports aggressive headlights and sharp taillights that accentuate its dynamic design. Wheel options include a 20-inch design for the S and RS models, and a 21-inch variant inspired by the AVUS Quattro.
Charging capabilities have also seen significant improvements. The e-Tron GT now charges at peak rates up to 320 kW, allowing drivers to add 174 miles of range in just 10 minutes and charge from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes under ideal conditions.
Inside, the vehicle offers luxurious amenities such as a flat-bottom steering wheel, 14-way power-adjustable seats, and an option for a leather-free interior catering to vegan preferences. The RS e-tron includes 18-way adjustable massaging seats for peak comfort. Additionally, it features a standard two-chamber, two-valve adjustable air suspension that not only absorbs road imperfections but also allows for quick height adjustments to navigate steep driveways or curbs without scraping.
The e-Tron GT also offers an optional sunroof that transitions from opaque to transparent at the push of a button, enhancing the cabin experience. In Europe, the Audi e-tron GT starts at $134,889, with U.S. pricing expected to be announced soon.
This new Audi e-Tron GT represents a significant leap forward in electric vehicle technology and performance, setting a high bar for what’s possible in the luxury electric vehicle market.
