There’s a growing number of hotels that are encouraging guests to bring their four-legged friends with them on vacation. And these hotels are not only wanting Fido to tag along, but they are also giving your beloved pet the royal spa treatment or welcome package with a well-deserved vacation of their own. Check out these special getaways for you and your dog to celebrate National Dog Day.
Dreams Resorts & Spas – Various Throughout Mexico
With locations throughout Mexico, you don’t have to leave your pet at home while staying at a Dreams Resort & Spa. The resort provides a dog bed, food and water bowls, dog toys and more. Unfortunately there is a weight limit of 22 pounds however.
The Estate Yountville – Napa Valley, California
Enjoy the beauty of Napa Valley with your dog at The Estate Yountville where they can join you on dog-friendly vineyard tours. On National Dog Day – August 26th – The Estate will also be selling puppaccinos with proceeds going to the Napa Humane Society.
Kinship Landing – Colorado Springs, Colorado
Located in an outdoor enthusiasts’ paradise, Kinship Landing offers an oasis for both humans and pets. Dogs can enjoy their own designer bed and a specially made meal at Homa Café before heading out on a pet-approved hike that the hotel’s concierge can help curate.

At the Canalside Inn not only are guests welcomed by the resident husky, Sky, but owners can also submit their award-winning pooched to the hotel’s K-9 Hall of Fame. Dog treats and towels welcome our four-legged friends and there’s even an outdoor shower as the nearby beaches are also pet-friendly.
Hotel Du Pont – Wilmington, Delaware
Dogs can get their fill at the on-site bakeshop of Hotel Du Pont, Spark’d before joining their owners on the patio of the hotel’s new French restaurant, Le Cavalier. Dog beds are also provided upon request.
The Ben – West Palm Beach, Florida
After a long day of playing on Boca Raton’s Bark Park Dog Beach pooches can relax at The Ben in West Palm Beach. Pets can people watch from the patio of the hotel’s restaurant, Proper Grit, before venturing out with their owners along to the local pet-friendly shopping centers and even grabbing a drink at one of the dog fountains.
