Lauda Europe (LW, Malta Int’l) is to open a base at Zadar, Croatia, from March 30, 2021, to serve destinations in Germany, Vienna, Poland, France, and Sweden on behalf of sister carrier Ryanair (FR, Dublin Int’l), the ch-aviation schedules module reveals. According to reports, Lauda Europe plans to station at least two of its 29 leased A320-200s at Zadar. This follows after plans by its predecessor LaudaMotion (OE, Vienna) for a base at Zadar were scuppered by the COVID-19 pandemic last year. Lauda Europe has five more A320-200s on order, according to ch-aviation fleets advanced module.
