Sommelier at Ireland’s Cliff House part of “seamless” team

Alexandra Raitaneva, restaurant manager and head sommelier at the Michelin-starred restaurant at the Cliff House Hotel in Ardmore, Ireland, works closely with head chef Roisin O’Connor to create a “seamless” operation between the front of house and the kitchen. Raitaneva, who moved to Ireland from Finland two years ago, has curated a wine list featuring natural and biodynamic wines but her ultimate goal is to find wines that are “very classic in how they are produced and how they taste.”
