UPS has orders eight additional Boeing 767 freighters

UPS has placed an order for eight more Boeing 767 freighters. This new deal builds on UPS’s previous order for 19 767s and is set to increase the company’s 767 fleet to 108 aircraft, Boeing announced in a statement on August 29, 2022.

The airline will also receive a 767 freighter conversion by the end of 2023. UPS placed the last order for the 767 in December 2021.

“The additional 767s will help us continue to deliver what matters to UPS customers around the world. This is a very versatile aircraft that we operate across every region of the globe,” said UPS Executive Vice President and President US Nando Cesarone.

“UPS will operate more than 100 767 Freighters with this order and will build its fleet of Boeing and Boeing-heritage airplanes to more than 260 airplanes,” said Ihssane Mounir, Boeing senior vice president of Commercial Sales and Marketing.

UPS was the launch customer for the 767 freighter in 1995 and has ordered a total of 108 of the aircraft since then. UPS currently operates 291 aircraft, including the 747, 767,757, MD-11, and A300, according to Planespotters.net.

The 767-300F is Boeing’s freighter version of the 767-300ER. The 767 is a versatile widebody capable of carrying up to 52.4 tonnes of cargo. Coupled with its extended range capabilities, it makes an excellent freighter that the airline utilizes in every corner of the globe.
