Company’s sustainable fuel process mimics plants

Air Company, which is backed by JetBlue, makes sustainable aviation fuel from captured carbon using equipment that resembles a whisky still and a process that mimics the metabolism of plants, says Chief Technology Officer Stafford Sheehan. The company aims to test the fuel in a commercial aircraft next year and supply it for commercial flights in 2024.
