Snowf Collaborates with Psngr1 Tech to Launch Innovative Booking Tool
U.K.-based technology firm Snowfall has launched a travel booking tool, Junction One, leveraging the technology of the Psngr1 tool, which it acquired last year, the company announced.
Snowfall describes Junction One as a “gateway” for travel management companies and corporate travel programs to access its multimodal travel platform, Junction. The cloud-based Junction connects bookers via an open API system to multiple suppliers including air, hotel, rail, ferry, public transportation, ride-hailing and shared mobility options. Junction One “[blends] the best features of Psngr1’s next generational booking tool” with the Junction marketplace, according to Snowfall chief executive and founder Stefan Cars.
The U.S.-based Psngr1 earned People’s Choice honors at BTN’s 2021 Innovate conference but faced a funding shortfall the next year and had to pause operations. Shortly after, Snowfall announced plans to acquire the tool.
Among the Psngr1 features Snowfall has incorporated are its storefront, which displays multiple content sources, including New Distribution Capability content, and its TripBoards technology that enables travelers to invite colleagues, family and other guests to collaboratively plan and book their trip.
The tool will work alongside other technology offered by Snowfall, including traveler assistance and disruption management technology Junction Plus and payments solution Junction Pay.
TakeTwo, which was one of the travel management companies that had signed with Psngr1 to provide the platform with clients, was announced as a “key TMC partner” to use Junction One. It is integrating the tool into its Nova ecosystem of travel management tools, according to the company.
Junction One enables TakeTwo to “modernize how our corporate customers use digital technology to provide bookability of best-available content, a superior customer experience and unrivalled consumer choice,” TakeTwo chief technology officer Rob Cope said in a statement. “The ability to incorporate NDC content within the TripBoards feature also enables us to deliver a more collaborative and personalized booking experience, leveraging content across the breadth of the content supply chain.”
Blue Cube Travel, Gray Dawes Group and TravelStore also plan to onboard the platform in the coming months, according to Snowfall.
