United Airlines has announced its plans to revamp Terminal B at Houston’s Bush Intercontinental Airport, a key hub for the airline. The project aims to enhance the customer experience and showcase the essence of Houston.

In a statement, United Airlines emphasized its focus on creating a terminal that embodies the spirit of Houston while prioritizing sustainability. The airline intends to collaborate with local partners and stakeholders to develop innovative wayfinding systems and incorporate local elements, ensuring an authentic and memorable journey for passengers.

The redevelopment project will also prioritize energy efficiency by incorporating features such as natural lighting, solar panels, and rainwater harvesting. These initiatives aim to minimize the terminal’s environmental impact and contribute to sustainability efforts.

Terminal B at Houston’s Bush Intercontinental Airport primarily serves United’s regional and some international flights. The terminal’s last renovation took place in 2013 when United unveiled a new south concourse with 15 gates.

As the largest carrier at Houston’s Bush Intercontinental Airport, United Airlines operates more than 500 daily flights to over 170 destinations. The airline is a significant employer in the Houston area, with a workforce of over 14,000 individuals.
