Royal Caribbean International announced that freestyle football world champion Liv Cooke set a new world record as part of an event aboard Symphony of the Seas.

Cooke successfully landed 76 alternating crossovers, smashing the “Most Sit-down Alternating Crossovers with a Football in 30 seconds (female)” record against the backdrop of the signature AquaTheater on Symphony.

The new record is Cooke’s seventh world title and her first completed on board a cruise ship.

“Symphony of the Seas was incredible, and there’s so much to do, so I couldn’t think of a more unique place to achieve my latest record,” Cooke said. “I’m always pushing myself outside of my comfort zone and trying new things, so I’m hyped to have completed this challenge.”

“When you’re on a ship like this or on holiday and have access to activities you normally don’t, give it a go,” Cooke continued.

In May, Royal Caribbean announced Icon of the Seas would boast an unmatched lineup of dining experiences designed for every type of passenger, starting in January 2024.

The vessel and its new and returning restaurants will sail seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean vacations from Miami year-round and visit destinations like The Bahamas, Philipsburg, St. Maarten; Cozumel, Mexico; and Roatan, Honduras.
