Southwest Airlines has launched four new seasonal routes from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to connect the city with more destinations across the country. The airline started three of the routes on July 15, 2023, and will begin the fourth one in September. The new routes are:

  • Orlando to Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ), operating on Saturdays only. This is the first time that MCO offers service to Albuquerque, New Mexico.
  • Orlando to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), operating on Saturdays only. This adds more options for travelers between Orlando and Boston, Massachusetts.
  • Orlando to Long Beach Airport (LGB), operating on Saturdays only. This is another new service for MCO, linking Orlando with Long Beach, California.
  • Orlando to El Paso International Airport (ELP), operating on Saturdays only, starting from September 9, 2023. This will be the third connection between Orlando and El Paso, Texas, after Frontier Airlines and Allegiant Air.

The flights will be operated by Boeing 737 aircraft, featuring three classes of service: First Class, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin. Passengers will enjoy free Wi-Fi, access to Delta Studio with over 1,000 hours of on-demand entertainment, and a range of snacks and beverages on board.

Southwest Airlines has been serving Orlando for nearly 30 years and offers daily, nonstop flights to at least 36 cities across the US. The airline is expanding its network from MCO to cater to the high demand for leisure travel during the summer and winter seasons.
