Air Canada has unveiled its most extensive winter sun schedule to date, featuring the introduction of four new routes and increased flight frequencies to popular Caribbean and Mexican destinations. The airline’s decision is a response to the high demand for winter leisure travel and offers more choices for travelers seeking an escape from Canada’s winter chill.

Starting from October 29, Air Canada will commence year-round service from Toronto to Monterrey, Mexico, operating four times a week. Monterrey is Mexico’s third-largest city and a significant hub for industry and business.

Additionally, Air Canada will introduce seasonal service from Toronto to Fort-de-France, Martinique, once a week beginning on December 16. Martinique, a French Caribbean island, is renowned for its rich cultural heritage, historical attractions, and natural beauty.

From Montreal, Air Canada is set to launch two new seasonal routes to La Romana, Dominican Republic, and Los Cabos, Mexico. La Romana is a favored resort destination on the Dominican Republic’s southeast coast, known for its pristine beaches, golf courses, and historical sites. Los Cabos, located at the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula, offers breathtaking scenery, adventurous activities, and vibrant nightlife. Both routes will operate once a week starting from December 16.

In addition to these new routes, Air Canada will expand its flights from Vancouver to multiple sun destinations, including Miami, Phoenix, Las Vegas, San Diego, Cancun, Los Cabos, and Puerto Vallarta. The airline will also extend its service to Aspen from both Atlanta and Los Angeles to year-round and introduce more flights to Colorado Springs, El Paso, and Sacramento from Atlanta.

Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President for Revenue and Network Planning at Air Canada, expressed enthusiasm about the continued interest in winter leisure travel. As the leading carrier from Canada to sought-after sun destinations, with up to 683 weekly flights planned for this winter, Air Canada is committed to providing new services from Toronto and Montreal to the Caribbean and Mexico, as well as substantial increases from the Vancouver hub, in response to pent-up demand.

Travelers can book their flights through Air Canada’s official website or online travel agencies. Fares may vary based on season and availability. Travelers can also explore reviews, trip reports, pictures, and videos of Air Canada’s destinations on the airline’s official social media accounts.
