Polish cargo carrier SkyTaxi has expanded its fleet by adding the first Boeing 767-300ER(BDSF), registered as SP-MRG (msn 26388). This newly acquired aircraft complements the airline’s existing fleet of two operational Boeing 767-200(SF)s.

Delivered on September 19, the 31.1-year-old freighter previously served in passenger configuration for Air Canada rouge. It underwent conversion to a freighter by Israel Aerospace Industries at Tel Aviv Ben Gurion. Leased from Cargo Aircraft Management, the Boeing 767-300ER(BDSF) operated its inaugural revenue flight from Wilmington, OH, to Santiago de Cuba and Riyadh on September 28-29.

SkyTaxi’s General Manager, Grzegorz Rybczyński, expressed optimism about the expansion, stating, “The addition of a bigger version of the B767 to our existing fleet will open new opportunities to explore.”

While SkyTaxi had previously signed a Letter of Intent to lease four A330-300(P2F)s in 2022, there have been no subsequent developments regarding the addition of this aircraft type to its fleet. The airline did not provide comments in response to ch-aviation’s inquiry. The recent acquisition of the Boeing 767-300 underlines SkyTaxi’s commitment to fleet diversification and growth in the cargo segment.
