The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation (BMOTIA) has cemented a multi-year collaboration with the Dallas Cowboys, a strategic move aimed at tapping into the U.S. Southwest market and engaging with the vast fanbase of America’s Team.

The Honorable I. Chester Cooper, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments & Aviation for The Bahamas, joined forces with Ministry of Tourism Director General Latia Duncombe and other executives to launch this exciting partnership. The official kickoff took place at the Dallas Cowboys versus Detroit Lions game on December 30, where they celebrated Jimmy Johnson’s induction into the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor.

Under this multi-year agreement, The Islands of The Bahamas branding will prominently feature during AT&T Stadium home games in Arlington, Texas. Additionally, the collaboration includes extensive TV and radio ads, Bahamian-themed promotions, and on-site activities at the stadium. Cowboys fans can anticipate social media sweepstakes offering opportunities to win tickets to home games or unforgettable trips to The Bahamas.

Minister Cooper expressed enthusiasm about the partnership and its potential to boost tourism from Middle America to The Bahamas. He remarked, “This agreement allows us to combine the love for the Dallas Cowboys with the allure of The Bahamas.”

Chad Estis, Executive Vice President of Business Operations for the Dallas Cowboys, shared the team’s excitement about the collaboration. He highlighted Cowboys fans’ appreciation for exceptional experiences, exciting trips, world-class hospitality, and the creation of special memories, all of which are readily available in The Bahamas.

Latia Duncombe, Director General of the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, described the partnership as a “win-win” and emphasized the significant exposure The Islands of The Bahamas will gain within the Dallas Cowboys fanbase. Multiple sweepstakes and marketing initiatives will be rolled out to target fans in the Southwest and across the United States, with the expectation of a substantial increase in travel to The Bahamas from this market.

Often referred to as “America’s Team,” the Dallas Cowboys hold an impressive valuation of $9 billion, according to Forbes. The collaboration between The Bahamas and this sports powerhouse aligns with the national “Sports in Paradise” initiative, positioning The Bahamas as an ideal destination for sports-related conferences, meetings, and events. This partnership marks a dynamic step forward in promoting The Bahamas as a premier travel destination.
