Seabourn Introduces Solis: A New Mediterranean-Inspired Culinary Delight
Seabourn, the luxury cruise line, recently shared exciting details about its latest gastronomic venture, Solis, a fine dining restaurant that began delighting guests aboard Seabourn Quest last month. Solis, born from the creative collaboration between master chef and culinary partner Anton Egger and senior corporate chef Franck Salein, brings a fresh and modern take on Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. This innovative dining concept is set to expand its presence across the Seabourn fleet, including Seabourn Ovation, Seabourn Encore, and Seabourn Sojourn, by the upcoming spring.
In a recent update, Seabourn highlighted the thoughtful interior design of Solis, crafted by the line’s own design talents, My Nguyen and Linh Nguyen. Natalya Leahy, Seabourn’s president, expressed her enthusiasm for the restaurant’s ambiance, which perfectly marries the Mediterranean’s warmth with Seabourn’s elegant style. The design aims to provide guests with an upscale dining experience while evoking the cozy feeling of a Mediterranean family-owned restaurant.
Sustainability plays a key role in the design philosophy behind Solis, with My Nguyen and Linh Nguyen selecting materials that not only appeal to the senses but also reflect a commitment to environmental responsibility. The restaurant boasts soft wool carpets from Dansk Wilton and textiles with at least 50 percent recycled content. Additionally, custom leather in blue and cream by Penelopeoggi and bespoke outdoor chair covers by Trimline using Gtex fabrics contribute to the restaurant’s distinctive aesthetic.
My Nguyen, Seabourn’s lead interior designer, emphasized the importance of texture, material, and finesse in creating the intimate and luxurious atmosphere Seabourn is renowned for. The design team’s meticulous attention to detail ensures that every element, from the decor to the dining experience, resonates with nuanced luxury.
The color palette draws inspiration from the Mediterranean itself, incorporating hues of blue, cream, gold, and olive to craft an environment that is both sophisticated and welcoming. The ultimate aim is to create a space where guests can enjoy a holistic sensory experience, harmonizing the interior’s elegance with the exquisite flavors of the Mediterranean.
As Solis rolls out across more Seabourn ships, guests can look forward to a dining experience that not only tantalizes the taste buds with light and modern fare but also immerses them in the refined luxury and warmth of Mediterranean hospitality. Seabourn’s commitment to excellence in dining and design is once again affirmed with the introduction of Solis, promising an unforgettable culinary journey for its discerning guests.
