Turkey’s Mavi Gök Airlines Expands Fleet with VIP-Configured 737-800 for LuxxGlobal

Mavi Gök Airlines (4M, Antalya) has recently welcomed its inaugural VIP-configured B737-800, marking a significant enhancement to its premium leisure charter offerings. The new aircraft, registered as TC-MGJ (msn 28828), will operate under the LuxxGlobal brand, serving high-end travel between Russia and Türkiye.

The VIP B737-800 was transported from Lourdes/Tarbes to Istanbul Atatürk on January 24, 2024, and underwent a comprehensive maintenance period at the Turkish airport. It was then ferried to Antalya on June 13, 2024, showcasing the LuxxGlobal livery. Since its arrival, the aircraft has been providing exclusive charter services between Antalya, Istanbul Airport, and Lefkosa/Ercan in northern Cyprus.

Previously operated by Mango Airlines (MNO, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo), this 24.2-year-old aircraft has been reconfigured to accommodate only 60 passengers in a luxurious two-class setup, featuring both first and business class seating.

LuxxGlobal intends to utilize this jet for routes connecting Moscow and St. Petersburg with Antalya and Burgas. However, details on the exact launch date for these Russian routes have not yet been disclosed.

In addition to this VIP B737-800, Mavi Gök Airlines continues to operate a diverse fleet, including seven standard B737-800s configured for all-economy class, two B737-900ERs, one B777-300(ER), and another executive aircraft—a B737-700(BBJ) with seating for 30 passengers. The airline also features a Cessna C208EX Grand Caravan seaplane for scenic flights around Bodrum.
