Bahamas’ Lynden Pindling Airport Aims To Boost North American Connectivity

Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS), the busiest airport in the Bahamas, is focused on expanding its North American connectivity after a record year in which it served 4.06 million passengers. Operated by Nassau Airport Development Company, NAS connects to 32 international and 21 domestic destinations via 22 airline partners.

As co-hosts of Routes Americas 2025, NAS has seen rising travel demand to Nassau/Paradise Island, spurring new services and increased seat capacity. The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism reported a record-breaking 9.6 million visitors in 2023, strengthening the Bahamas’ position as a top global tourist destination.

Recent route expansions include Alaska Airlines’ new services from Los Angeles (LAX) and Seattle (SEA). Additionally, Bahamasair will launch twice-weekly flights to Montego Bay in November 2024, and Delta Air Lines will add seasonal service from Detroit (DTW) in December 2024.

To meet growing travel demands, NAS has outlined further unserved route opportunities across North America on its Routes 360 profile.
