Marriott to Open 30+ Luxury Properties in 2025
Marriott International, Inc. is set to expand its Luxury Group’s portfolio significantly in 2025, with over 30 luxury hotels, residences, lodges, and resorts slated to open. Additionally, more than 260 luxury properties are in development as the company continues to meet the evolving demands of high-end travelers.
The next year is expected to see a shift toward experiential luxury, driven by affluent younger travelers seeking deep connections, transformative experiences, and a focus on responsible travel and wellness. Marriott is responding to these trends with offerings that emphasize personal journeys, cultural immersion, and sustainability.
Tina Edmundson, President of Luxury at Marriott International, highlighted this shift in travel preferences. “Today’s luxury travelers aren’t just passing through destinations; they are embarking on personal journeys that reveal new dimensions of both place and self,” she said. Marriott aims to craft experiences that blend nature, culture, and self-discovery into unforgettable travel adventures.
