Presidential Aviation Resumes Learjet 60 Operations with New Addition

Presidential Aviation, based at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (PRD), has reinstated its Learjet 60 charter services in the United States by adding a newly acquired aircraft to its Part 135-certified fleet in November 2024. The 22.9-year-old Learjet 60, registered as N317MM (msn 60-236), previously operated under the Part 135 certificate of Florida Jet Service (FJS). It was the sole Learjet 60 in FJS’s fleet and was last active on May 20, flying between Miami International and Fort Lauderdale Executive before being parked at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport.

Although the aircraft has not yet flown under the ‘PRD’ code, Presidential Aviation has officially incorporated N317MM into its charter operations. Configured to accommodate up to seven passengers, this Learjet 60 marks the company’s return to utilizing this specific model after a two-year hiatus. Since 2002, Presidential Aviation has operated five different Learjet 60s, with the most recent being active between 2015 and 2017.

The addition of N317MM brings Presidential Aviation’s fleet to a total of twelve aircraft, enhancing its capacity and service offerings. The current fleet includes a Challenger 601-3A, a Citation X, a Falcon 7X, a Falcon 900LX, two G200s, two G550s, two GIV-SPs, a Hawker 800XP, and a Phenom 300E. This expansion follows the retirement of the company’s only Citation XLS+ in October, reflecting Presidential Aviation’s ongoing efforts to optimize its fleet for efficiency and reliability.

By resuming Learjet 60 operations, Presidential Aviation aims to meet the growing demand for versatile and comfortable charter services in the region. The company’s strategic fleet enhancements position it to better serve a diverse clientele, offering a range of aircraft tailored to various travel needs. As Presidential Aviation continues to refine its fleet, it underscores its commitment to providing high-quality, dependable charter services across its operational network.
