Business jet operator Advance Aviation (AAX) from Bangkok’s Don Mueang is set to expand its service offerings with the recent order of a Gulfstream G280. This strategic acquisition, reported by Brand Buffet, is aimed at catering to the growing demand for private jet services in Thailand and the broader region. Advance Aviation’s founder and CEO, Chai Nasylvanta, confirmed that the company paid USD22 million for the aircraft and now expects delivery by March 2026.

The new Gulfstream G280, designed to accommodate up to 10 passengers, represents a significant upgrade for the fleet. Advance Aviation currently operates a well-rounded charter fleet that includes two Gulfstream G200s—HS-LEE (msn 090) and HS-HAN (msn 153)—alongside a fleet of four Airbus Helicopters. With the addition of the G280, the operator aims to enhance its capability to serve high-net-worth clients and corporate customers seeking state-of-the-art private jet experiences. The upgraded performance, efficiency, and comfort offered by the G280 will not only improve customer satisfaction but also strengthen the company’s competitive position in Thailand’s private aviation market.

CEO Chai Nasylvanta explained that the G280 was initially targeted for delivery in March 2025. However, production challenges emerged due to disruptions at the manufacturing plant in Israel. “Most of the manpower was drawn from the factory to fight the war,” Chai noted, referring to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Gaza. Owing to these external factors, Gulfstream invoked the excusable delay clause in the contract, which has resulted in an expected delivery delay of approximately 12 months. Despite the delay, Chai remains optimistic about the benefits the new aircraft will bring once it joins Advance Aviation’s operational fleet.

The Gulfstream G280 is highly regarded in the business jet segment for its advanced technology, fuel efficiency, and improved cabin comfort. This aircraft will allow Advance Aviation to offer a broader range of routes and enhanced services, ensuring that the growing demand in the private aviation segment is met with quality and reliability. For clients, the introduction of the G280 means access to a more modern, comfortable, and cost-effective jet for short- and mid-range journeys.

In conjunction with the new aircraft order, Advance Aviation has also invested in its infrastructure to support its expanding fleet. The company recently inaugurated a 20,000 square foot (1,860 sqm) hangar at Don Mueang, a facility capable of accommodating business jets as large as the Gulfstream G700. This hangar not only enhances the company’s maintenance capabilities but also demonstrates its commitment to providing top-tier services and ensuring operational efficiency. With upgraded facilities and an evolving fleet, Advance Aviation is positioning itself strongly in the competitive private aviation market in Thailand.

As the business aviation sector continues to evolve with increasing demand for premium charter services, Advance Aviation’s decision to modernize its fleet by ordering the G280 is a clear signal of the operator’s commitment to excellence. With a focus on both fleet expansion and infrastructure enhancements, the company is well-prepared to meet the needs of discerning travelers across the region.
