Jet Aviation Ends Gulfstream Operations in Malta

Jet Aviation Malta has ceased operations with Gulfstream Aerospace jets, retiring its only GVII-G500 and GVII-G600 aircraft. The Gulfstream GVII-G500, registered as 9H-OST (msn 72044), was last active on November 25, 2024, completing a Vienna-Milan roundtrip. By December 26, the 4.7-year-old jet transitioned to Avcon Jet Malta, rejoining its fleet of 13 aircraft, including a Citation Sovereign+, G650s, and Global 5000/6000 models.

The GVII-G600, previously registered as 9H-ITW (msn 73070), also left Jet Aviation Malta and became the first Gulfstream aircraft operated by Italy’s Leader. Re-registered as I-WATT, the 2.8-year-old jet is now active in Leader’s fleet, joining Dassault Falcon models such as the Falcon 900EX and 2000s.

Following these retirements, Jet Aviation Malta operates a Boeing 737-700(BBJ) and a PC-12. Despite the changes in Malta, other Jet Aviation divisions will continue to manage Gulfstream aircraft.

This development reflects ongoing adjustments in the business aviation market, with aircraft transitioning between operators to meet demand for versatile, ultra-long-range jets.
