JetBlue Expands East Coast Network with 16 New Routes
JetBlue is significantly expanding its East Coast network for the spring and summer of 2025, announcing 16 new routes and five new destinations. The New York City-based airline is set to launch new services to destinations in North America, the Caribbean, and Central America, with some routes operating year-round and others seasonally.
As part of its East Coast expansion, JetBlue will introduce new routes from its major hubs in New York City and Boston. The airline will offer several new nonstop services to key domestic and international destinations, including Halifax, Nova Scotia; Traverse City, Michigan; Norfolk, Virginia; Wilmington, North Carolina; and San Pedro Sula, Honduras. This is a part of JetBlue’s plan to further cement its presence in the East Coast market while catering to growing demand for both leisure and business travel.
In New York, JetBlue will operate the following new routes:
- JFK to Washington, D.C. (DCA): Year-round, once-daily service beginning March 30.
- ISP to Boston (BOS): Seasonal, once-daily service starting April 30.
- LGA to Tampa (TPA): Year-round, twice-daily service beginning April 30.
- JFK to Hartford (BDL): Year-round, once-daily service starting April 30.
- JFK to Hollywood Burbank (BUR): Seasonal, once-daily service starting April 30.
- JFK to Detroit (DTW): Year-round, once-daily service starting April 30.
- JFK to Pittsburgh (PIT): Year-round, once-daily service launching April 30.
- JFK to Providence (PVD): Year-round, once-daily service starting April 30.
- EWR to Los Angeles (LAX): Seasonal, three times-daily service beginning April 30.
JetBlue is also adding its first route to Honduras, with nonstop service from JFK to San Pedro Sula (SAP) starting June 12, 2025. The airline will also launch seasonal service from Newark to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic (SDQ), in mid-June.
From Boston, JetBlue is expanding its reach with new seasonal routes:
- BOS to Wilmington (ILM): Once-daily service starting April 30.
- BOS to Norfolk (ORF): Once-daily service starting April 30.
- BOS to Traverse City (TVC): Three times weekly service starting June 5.
- BOS to Halifax (YHZ): Once-daily service beginning June 26.
JetBlue is also increasing its international service, with seasonal flights from Boston to Madrid and Edinburgh launching on May 22, 2025. These additions bring JetBlue’s total nonstop destinations from Boston to 77, making it one of the most connected airlines in the market.
In addition to the East Coast expansion, JetBlue will begin daily service from Fort Lauderdale to Guatemala City starting April 30, 2025. The airline is also converting its seasonal winter service from Providence to Tampa and Hartford to Fort Myers into year-round routes, ensuring consistent service for travelers.
This expansion of routes underscores JetBlue’s focus on both growing its East Coast network and increasing its international presence. The new destinations will cater to a mix of business and leisure travelers, offering more options for passengers traveling from some of the busiest airports in the U.S.
