ACASS Ireland Transfers Citation XLS+ to Germany Amid Dispute

Share

ACASS Ireland has transferred its sole Citation XLS+ to Germany, following a dispute with its owner, Amborella. The aircraft, now registered as D-CPLN (msn 560-6003), was previously EJ-PRLN under ACASS Ireland’s ‘SON’ code.

The 16.2-year-old jet has been parked at Bournemouth Airport since October 21, 2024, after arriving from Farnborough. Recent photographs confirm the aircraft was spotted at Bournemouth on February 3, 2025, bearing its new German registration.

The new operator of the jet remains undisclosed, but the transfer aligns with Amborella’s request to move the aircraft to a Hamburg-based company. While ACASS Ireland complied with the transfer, it is seeking to recover EUR 1.19 million (USD 1.24 million) in unpaid maintenance costs from the owners.

Following the departure of the Citation XLS+, ACASS Ireland now operates a locally registered fleet that includes a Global Express XRS and a Gulfstream G450, while continuing to manage aircraft under various registries.

The parent company’s other divisions, ACASS Europe and ACASS Canada, do not currently operate any Citation XLS+ jets.

This aircraft transition underscores ongoing ownership disputes in the private aviation sector, as leasing companies and operators navigate financial challenges and contractual obligations. The resolution of the maintenance fee conflict will determine the final outcome of the ACASS Ireland–Amborella dispute.
