HomeToGo, the Berlin-based vacation rental marketplace, has announced plans to acquire Interhome, a major European vacation rental management company, from Swiss retail giant Migros.

The deal is valued in the low three-digit million range (CHF), though the final share purchase agreement is yet to be signed. PhocusWire first reported the negotiations in October 2024.

Interhome, a subsidiary of Hotelplan Group, manages around 40,000 vacation rentals across 28 countries, with exclusive control over most of them. HomeToGo says the acquisition will enhance its technology-driven service offerings, strengthening its host-to-guest value chain.

The acquisition is expected to boost HomeToGo’s profitability and cash flow, with projected 2024 IFRS revenue exceeding €330 million.

Founded in 2014, HomeToGo lists over 15 million vacation rentals worldwide, partnering with thousands of providers. In 2023, the company expanded into B2B software and services, launching HomeToGo Pro and integrating AI-powered tools like Super AI Sunny for trip planning.

This marks HomeToGo’s largest acquisition to date. In December 2023, it acquired 51% of KMW Reisen and Super Urlaub, while previous acquisitions include Amivac (January 2023) and eDomizil (March 2023).

With this deal, HomeToGo solidifies its position as a leader in European vacation rentals, leveraging technology and exclusive inventory to drive future growth.
