Jet Aviation Flight Services at Teterboro has expanded its distinguished fleet by adding its first Bombardier Global 5500 and Gulfstream G700 jets, according to ch-aviation research. These strategic acquisitions bolster Jet Aviation’s capabilities in both charter and private flight operations.

The new Global 5500, tail number N468GH (msn 60142), was delivered on November 26, 2024. Initially flown between Bombardier’s Montréal Trudeau facilities and Hartford Bradley, the aircraft then continued under Jet Aviation’s ‘JAS’ code to its new base at Chicago Waukegan. While this state-of-the-art Bombardier jet was originally operated on a non-commercial basis, it has since been certified under Part 135 charter regulations as of January 2025. This certification upgrade now allows the Global 5500 to be used for charter services, adding flexibility and expanding Jet Aviation’s service offerings.

In parallel, Jet Aviation introduced the first Gulfstream G700 in the United States. The G700, bearing tail number N6D (msn 87051), was delivered on December 17, 2024. It operated directly from Gulfstream’s Savannah International facilities to its new home at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport under the ‘JAS’ code. Notably, the ultra-long-range Gulfstream remains a Part 91-only aircraft under Jet Aviation’s management, indicating that it is not certified for charter operations. This regulatory distinction highlights the differing operational models between the two new jets.

The Global 5500 now joins Jet Aviation’s robust Part 135 fleet, which comprises 51 fixed-wing aircraft and two rotary-wing aircraft. This diverse fleet includes multiple high-end models such as three Global 5000s, two Global 6000s, two Global 7500s, a Challenger 300, two Challenger 350s, a Citation Latitude, as well as several models from the Falcon series (including Falcon 900EX EASy, Falcon 2000(LX), Falcon 2000EX EASy, and six Falcon 7Xs). Additional aircraft in the fleet include two G280s, a GIV-SP, five G450s, a GV, a GVII-G500, two G550s, a GVII-G600, four G650s, six G650ERs, a Hawker 900XP, and two S-76s.

Jet Aviation also manages a substantial number of aircraft under Part 91 regulations, including the newly added G700. According to the company’s official website, the Jet Aviation group now oversees approximately 300 aircraft worldwide—a testament to its expansive presence in the global aviation market.

These fleet additions underscore Jet Aviation’s commitment to providing state-of-the-art, reliable aircraft for both charter and private operations. By converting the Global 5500 for Part 135 use, the company is enhancing its charter portfolio and operational flexibility. Meanwhile, the introduction of the Gulfstream G700, even as a Part 91 asset, further enriches Jet Aviation’s ability to offer premium, ultra-long-range travel solutions to its clientele.

In an industry where fleet modernization and regulatory compliance are key drivers of service excellence, Jet Aviation’s proactive approach positions it well to meet the evolving needs of a diverse, global customer base.
