Windrose Air Restarts Phenom 100EV, Citation CJ2 Flights in Germany

Germany-based Windrose Air Jetcharter has resumed operations with two light business jets, the Embraer Phenom 100EV and the Cessna Citation Jet 2 (CJ2), after several years. The Phenom 100EV has officially been added to the company’s air operator certificate (AOC), while the CJ2 is in the final stages of reentry.
The newly delivered Phenom 100EV, registration D-IHCR, was manufactured in 2024 and ferried from Melbourne Essendon in Australia to its new base in Schönhagen, Germany. The aircraft made several stops en route, including Norfolk, Bangor, Goose Bay, Narsarsuaq, Reykjavik, and Inverness. This marks Windrose Air’s return to Phenom 100 operations after a five-year gap, having last operated a Phenom 100E between 2016 and 2020.
The Citation Jet 2, registration D-IBET, is a 19.8-year-old jet formerly operated by ProAir Aviation. The aircraft is configured to carry up to seven passengers and was previously based at Berlin Brandenburg. Windrose Air had a history with the CJ2, having operated five of the type and one CJ2+ until 2022.
With these additions, Windrose Air’s fleet of Embraer Executive Jets includes the Phenom 100EV and a Praetor 600, the latter currently not available for charter. The CJ2 will complement the charter fleet alongside a Citation Jet 4 and a Citation XLS+. The operator also manages two Challenger 300s, a Global Express XRS stored in Istanbul, and a Pilatus PC-24.
The fleet expansion enhances Windrose Air’s business jet offerings across Europe.
