US-Bangla Airlines has wet leased two Boeing 737-800 aircraft from BBN Airlines Indonesia as part of its fleet expansion strategy. The first aircraft, registered PK-BBH (msn 36121), arrived in Dhaka on March 31, 2025, and began operations the next day. The second aircraft, PK-BBG (msn 39390), is expected to join the fleet in early May after completing a lease with Sriwijaya Air.

Both aircraft are configured in an all-economy 189-seat layout and will operate international routes from Dhaka to destinations including Singapore, Thailand, the Maldives, and the Middle East. The aircraft and their crew are fully based in Dhaka. Flight tracking data shows PK-BBH is actively flying the Dhaka-Singapore and Dhaka-Bangkok routes.

BBN Airlines Indonesia, part of the Avia Solutions Group, is expanding its ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) services in Asia. “This partnership marks a significant milestone in our expansion within the Asian market,” said Martynas Grigas, Chairman of BBN Airlines Indonesia. US-Bangla’s Commercial Chief, Jitendra Pandey, confirmed this is the airline’s second ACMI partnership with the Avia group.

BBN has experienced both growth and setbacks, including a legal dispute with India’s SpiceJet over unpaid dues related to a previous wet lease agreement.

US-Bangla Airlines currently operates a diverse fleet, including five owned Boeing 737-800s, ten ATR72-600s, two Airbus A330-300s, one DHC-8-Q400, and wet-leased aircraft from SkyUp MT and others. The airline serves 21 destinations across 11 countries and continues to pursue strategic partnerships to expand its international operations.
