MSC Cruises Launches New Summer Family Fun

MSC Cruises is rolling out an enhanced lineup of family entertainment for its summer 2025 voyages, ensuring that kids, teens and parents alike have more reasons to smile at sea. Beginning in June, the cruise line will introduce a series of interactive shows, festive parades, themed parties and record-setting activities that cater to every generation. From LEGO-themed challenges to Guinness World Record attempts, the new program is designed to engage families in joint adventures and shared memories.

Among the additions is the LEGO Family Game Show, where parents and children team up to solve puzzles and compete in building challenges under time pressure. The excitement continues with a colorful LEGO Family Parade, during which young guests can don brick-inspired costumes and march alongside life-size brick sculptures. Both events leverage MSC Cruises’ partnership with the LEGO Group, inviting guests to unleash their creativity while enjoying the breeze on deck.

Nighttime entertainment gets a dance-worthy twist with the DOREMIX Family Disco, a high-energy party featuring glowing wristbands, interactive light floors and family-friendly DJ battles. Younger children and their parents can showcase their moves, while professional dancers lead group routines that are easy to learn and great fun to perform. The disco is just one of several evening experiences aimed at bringing families together under the stars.

MSC Cruises will also introduce two original game shows—BOXES and MSC BOOM—hosted by onboard entertainers who guide players through trivia quizzes, physical stunts and team competitions. BOXES challenges participants to correctly guess hidden objects in large mystery cubes, while MSC BOOM tests speed and coordination in a fast-paced obstacle course. Each episode is filmed live on board, with participants featured on cabin televisions and invited to red-carpet award ceremonies.

For guests drawn to Guinness World Records, MSC Cruises will curate a slate of record-breaking attempts designed for families. Past activities have included the world’s largest bubble dance and the longest line of inflatable pool floats. This summer, record attempts will take place in the main atrium, with trophies awarded to the winning participants and a commemorative video sent to each cabin. These events underscore MSC Cruises’ belief that every voyage should offer bucket-list moments.

Teen travelers will notice a revamped Teen Club featuring a gaming lounge, multimedia stations and lounge areas designed by social media influencers. The refreshed space will offer late-night glow parties and weekly Golden Party events that combine karaoke contests, themed cocktails for teens and movie nights under the stars. Parents will also find new offerings, including interactive trivia quizzes held in cozy lounges where they can test their knowledge of film, music and popular culture while enjoying specialty cocktails.

“With MSC Cruises being a family-owned company, we know what it takes to keep the whole family happy on holiday,” says Matteo Mancini, family entertainment development director for MSC Cruises. He explains that the new program marries cutting-edge technology—such as interactive LED floors and live-streamed show production—with traditional entertainment formats, creating truly memorable experiences that bring generations together in play and wonder.

As MSC Cruises prepares to welcome families aboard its Oceania, Seaside and World-class ships this summer, guests can look forward to sun-soaked days, sea breezes and a slate of activities designed to delight every age group. With limited staterooms available on popular summer itineraries, travelers are encouraged to book early to secure cabins and take advantage of these exciting new family-friendly offerings. Whether building brick sculptures or dancing under disco lights, families sailing with MSC Cruises in 2025 can expect a summer at sea full of laughter and lasting memories.
