Air France has reopened its exclusive private beach on the Croisette as the official airline partner of the 78th Cannes Film Festival, offering guests a taste of its renowned La Première first class experience in a sun-soaked seaside setting. From May 13 through May 24, festival attendees can reserve a spot at the airline’s bespoke lounge next to the Hotel Martinez beach, where a curated restaurant, outdoor lounge, bar and comfortably appointed sunbeds provide direct access to the Mediterranean.

Drawing inspiration from La Première’s signature color palette, the private beach features sophisticated design touches and subtle nods to Air France’s premium cabin. At the heart of the sandy enclave, a custom-made glass showcase presents a full-scale mock-up of the new La Première suite, inviting patrons to step inside the design and craftsmanship of Air France’s latest first class offering. Nearby, the Air France restaurant accommodates up to thirty guests, serving a lunch menu that starts at €95 per person, including beverages, while sunbeds and umbrellas can be booked for €60 per day.

Guests arriving from the United States will find specially timed flights that coincide with the festival and the Monaco Grand Prix. Air France will operate two direct Airbus A350 services between Los Angeles International Airport and Nice Côte d’Azur Airport on May 12 and May 25, 2025, in response to strong demand from West Coast travelers seeking seamless connections to the French Riviera’s most glamorous events.

Since 1980, Air France has supported Cannes by transporting film crews, providing onboard screenings of festival entries and maintaining a deep partnership with the film industry. The airline’s 45-year commitment extends beyond logistics, reflecting its dedication to French culture and the global arts community. This year’s private beach reopening underscores that legacy, marrying cinematic celebration with culinary excellence and cutting-edge aviation design.

The Air France beach lounge opens daily from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. local time, with reservations required to ensure personalized service and ample space for networking and relaxation. Beneath the warm Mediterranean sun, guests can sip from a curated La Première wine and champagne list while sampling rotating menus of Chinese-inspired spring pastries alongside classic French hors d’oeuvres and signature cocktails. Comfortable seating areas are artfully arranged to foster conversation, while discreet service staff attend to every need, from delivering chilled towels to refreshing beverages.

While visitors unwind on sunbeds, the gentle sea breeze and the soft murmur of waves set the stage for festivalgoers to escape the red carpet’s bustle. The combination of hospitality, design and gastronomy creates a refuge that feels both cosmopolitan and intimate, mirroring the spirit of Cannes itself. By reinvigorating the private beach concept, Air France not only provides a luxurious retreat for its finest customers but also raises the bar for experiential marketing in aviation partnerships.

As the Cannes Film Festival unfolds, Air France’s private beach will serve as both a celebration of cinema and a demonstration of the airline’s broader investment in premium travel. Alongside new flagship lounges planned for Beijing Capital International Airport and New York’s JFK, the Croisette lounge represents part of a more than HK$100 billion (US$12.8 billion) commitment to aircraft, cabin products, lounges and digital innovations. For filmmakers, stars and discerning travelers alike, the return of the Air France private beach offers a seamless blend of French elegance, cinematic flair and first-class comfort on the world’s most famous shoreline.
