IDeaS Launches AI-Powered Marketing Tool for Hotel Campaigns

Hospitality revenue management software company IDeaS has introduced IDeaS Spotlight, a new AI-driven tool designed to help hotel marketers optimize the timing of their campaigns. The solution leverages forecast data and price sensitivity insights from IDeaS’ revenue management system (RMS) to guide marketing strategies.
Mike Chuma, vice president of global marketing at IDeaS, told PhocusWire that Spotlight addresses a common disconnect between revenue managers and marketing teams. While revenue managers analyze future demand, marketers often rely on seasonal promotions with fixed budgets, missing targeted opportunities.
“The core problem we’re solving is ensuring that marketing spend is directed at the right time to drive better occupancy and business mix,” Chuma explained. The tool uses analytics and artificial intelligence to identify where marketing efforts should focus, such as specific room types or guest segments like business travelers.
Spotlight delivers a forward-looking “opportunity impact score,” helping hotels decide when and where to shift marketing strategies to meet demand. It also provides a closed-loop system that measures whether campaigns successfully drive bookings.
Chuma emphasized that IDeaS Spotlight is the first tool of its kind to proactively align sales, marketing, and revenue management teams using AI insights from a revenue management system. The RMS continuously analyzes forecast data, pricing, and booking pace, feeding those insights into Spotlight for actionable marketing decisions.
The solution is currently in limited release and is expected to be widely available by mid-summer 2025, providing hoteliers with a new way to maximize the effectiveness of their marketing efforts.
