YTO Cargo Airlines has added a third Boeing 767-300ER(BDSF) freighter to its fleet as part of its continued widebody expansion strategy, according to Cargo Facts. The newly acquired aircraft, registered as B-226P (msn 33767), arrived in Guangzhou on May 29, 2025. Previously operated by Ethiopian Airlines as ET-ALJ, the 21.6-year-old freighter was acquired through purchase rather than lease from Titan Aviation Holdings.

YTO Cargo Airlines now operates three Boeing 767-300ER(BDSF)s, alongside ten Boeing 757-200(PCF)s and one C909(F). The airline has been actively growing its widebody fleet to support international expansion. Earlier this year, YTO Chairman David Xiufeng Su emphasized the company’s strategic focus on larger widebody freighters, stating, “We only have one direction, and that is to go for large widebody — go big or go home.”

According to ch-aviation schedule data, YTO Cargo Airlines currently operates scheduled freighter services to 25 airports across 13 countries, expanding its reach in the competitive Asia-Pacific cargo market.

The addition of the third Boeing 767-300ER(BDSF) positions YTO Cargo Airlines to capture more cross-border e-commerce and express cargo demand. The freighter is expected to enter service within the next two to three months, further strengthening YTO’s long-haul cargo capabilities.

YTO Cargo Airlines, based at Hangzhou, continues to evolve into one of China’s growing air freight operators, leveraging a mixed fleet strategy to meet the rising demand for both regional and international cargo operations.
