Level Leads Capacity Surge in Winter 2025-26 Schedule

Airlines around the globe are boosting their winter 2025-26 schedules with record capacity, new routes, and expanded partnerships. International Airlines Group subsidiary Level is making a major move with its largest winter schedule to date, increasing capacity by 51% to surpass 400,000 total seats. Transatlantic growth is a key focus, with capacity to North America rising 64%. The Barcelona–New York JFK route sees the biggest boost, up 126% year-over-year, offering daily flights from November through January and six weekly flights in February and March. In South America, Level will operate a record 12 weekly flights between Barcelona and Buenos Aires and increase Santiago service to five weekly flights during peak months.
Ryanair is also ramping up for the winter season, expanding operations at Warsaw Chopin Airport with 12 routes, including six new winter destinations: Leeds, Malaga, Pisa, Porto, Seville and Tirana. Popular routes like Alicante, Brussels-Charleroi and Paphos will see increased frequencies, raising Ryanair’s total seat count at the airport to 340,000. The ULCC will also add routes from Göteborg Landvetter to Malta and Porto, each operating twice weekly.
SunExpress is set to launch a new service connecting East Midlands Airport with Antalya, Turkey. Operating three times weekly during peak summer, the service marks the airline’s continued UK expansion, with flights scheduled from 14 UK and Ireland airports in summer 2026.
Indonesia AirAsia is debuting in South Australia with new Bali–Adelaide service, offering four weekly flights using A320-200 aircraft. This new route brings over 74,000 annual seats and expands access to AirAsia’s vast network of 130+ destinations across Asia. Indonesia’s impact on South Australia’s visitor economy reached A$49 million in 2024, up 18% from the previous year.
TUI will introduce a new Newcastle–Sofia route starting December 20, with weekly Saturday flights. The service supports access to Bulgaria’s popular ski resorts and joins TUI’s existing Sofia routes from Birmingham, Dublin, Gatwick and Manchester.
AirBaltic and Turkish Airlines are broadening their codeshare partnership. AirBaltic will add its code to Turkish Airlines flights from Istanbul to six cities in the Caucasus and Central Asia, including Tbilisi, Batumi, Ashgabat, Baku, Dushanbe and Bishkek. In return, Turkish Airlines will place its code on AirBaltic routes from Riga to Finnish cities Turku and Tampere and to Palanga in Lithuania.
Porter Airlines has launched new seasonal service between Toronto Pearson and Greater Moncton, operating three times weekly through September. The route uses Embraer 195-E2 aircraft and complements Porter’s existing Moncton service from Billy Bishop Toronto City and Ottawa.
Meanwhile, TAP Air Portugal is extending its new Lisbon–Los Angeles route to operate year-round. Launched in May 2025, the route will continue through the winter with three weekly flights using A330-900neo aircraft.
