TourRadar Turns Social Content Into Bookable Trips

TourRadar has launched a new feature called TourRadar Moments, allowing travelers to book multiday adventures directly through photos and video reels shared in its app. The social commerce initiative bridges the gap between visual inspiration and booking by letting users upload travel content that links to actual tours.
The company is also incentivizing participation by offering travel credits to users who share their experiences. TourRadar co-founder and CEO Travis Pittman said the timing of the launch aligns with evolving search behaviors and the growing influence of social media on trip planning. He highlighted the disconnect between where travelers find inspiration and where they book, and said TourRadar Moments is designed to close that gap.
In an interview at Phocuswright Europe 2025, Pittman described the feature as a way for users and operators to offer a more immersive and authentic preview of the experiences available. Whether content comes from everyday travelers or tour operators, the goal is to enhance customer understanding of what a trip actually entails. The feature is built to support not only uploads but direct booking functionality tied to the content.
From a technology standpoint, TourRadar has worked to ensure the experience is seamless, enabling users to explore and reserve trips based on visual content without needing to leave the app. Pittman said this is part of a broader strategy to make the platform more experiential and intuitive, meeting users where they are—on mobile and on social media.
TourRadar Moments reflects a broader shift toward merging social discovery and ecommerce in the travel industry, using user-generated content to drive both engagement and conversion.
