Accelya Launches FLX AIViator to Drive Real-Time Airline Revenue with AI

Airline technology company Accelya has introduced FLX AIViator, a new artificial intelligence layer built into its FLX Platform to help airlines turn live data into revenue-generating decisions. Powered by proprietary models and Amazon Web Services (AWS), FLX AIViator supports functions such as forecasting, dynamic pricing, merchandising, customer service, and financial operations.
“FLX AIViator is AI with ROI,” said Accelya CEO Sam Gilliland. “Our goal is to help airlines act faster, engage more intelligently, and boost profitability through smarter retailing.”
Designed with modularity and openness, the AI layer allows airlines to plug in their own models or integrate third-party solutions without giving up control. “If a competitor’s AI works better, they can replace ours,” said Gaurav Roy, Accelya’s CTO, who emphasized the flexibility needed to overcome challenges tied to legacy systems.
Key capabilities available at launch include:
- Real-time order intelligence: Delivers cross-functional insights to improve pricing, service resolution, revenue tracking and bundle fulfillment.
- Dynamic pricing optimization: Adjusts fares based on demand and customer behavior to avoid over-discounting while protecting inventory.
- Automated merchandising: Uses generative and multimodal AI to accelerate offer creation and personalization for ecommerce teams.
- Smart customer support: Introduces “Ask Accelya,” a virtual assistant focused initially on passenger revenue accounting.
- Cargo forecasting: Enhances capacity and overbooking predictions to improve cargo yield accuracy.
Accelya is currently testing FLX AIViator across several use cases with three to five airline partners per segment. Roy added that the phased rollout approach allows airlines to implement AI selectively without disrupting entire operations.
“We believe AI can finally solve the long-standing challenge of dynamic pricing, while improving productivity and customer experience,” Roy said.
