Celebrity Xcel to Debut With New Venues and Experiences
Celebrity Cruises has revealed exciting new details about its highly anticipated ship, Celebrity Xcel, set to debut this November. The newest addition to the fleet will sail from Fort Lauderdale during its inaugural season, offering 7-night Caribbean itineraries to destinations including The Bahamas, Mexico, the Cayman Islands, Puerto Plata, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten. In summer 2025, the ship will reposition to Europe, offering 7- to 11-night voyages from Barcelona and Athens.
Celebrity Xcel will introduce seven elevated experiences designed to transform every moment onboard. Among the most anticipated are four all-new venues. The Celebrity Pool Club will be a standout feature, offering guests an upgraded poolside setting complete with chilled towels, card games, sunscreen stations, and private cabanas with dedicated service. On the final sea day of each Caribbean sailing, the venue will host “The Poolest Day Ever,” an energetic celebration with live Caribbean music, DJs, pop-up performances, and exclusive cocktails. In the evening, the party continues with “Shine the Night,” a lively poolside event.
Another new venue is Attic at The Club, a nostalgic adults-only arcade and lounge. Guests can unwind with retro games like Pac-Man, NBA Showtime, and Golden Tee or enjoy classics like darts, shuffleboard, foosball, and pool. Attic will also feature private event spaces with karaoke and golf simulation, offering a versatile and playful atmosphere.
Celebrity Xcel will also debut the cruise line’s largest-ever spa, featuring over 120 treatments, a larger salon, and unique wellness spaces. Among the highlights is the new Hydra Room, a water-focused sanctuary with a bubbling pool, massaging jets, and heated loungers. Guests with access to the Thermal Suite will enjoy a new outdoor Vitamin D Deck, designed to offer peaceful sun-soaked relaxation.
In addition, Celebrity Xcel will introduce the brand’s first-ever Celebrity Flagship store. More than just a retail space, the store will serve as an immersive exhibit that tells the story of Celebrity Cruises through trivia, historical items, and collectibles. Guests can browse a curated selection of exclusive products, many of which can be customized with engravings, embroidery, or prints. The store will feature branded apparel, water bottles, cocktail kits, and unique souvenirs only available on Celebrity Xcel.
