Titan Airways Adds First Embraer E190 to Expand Charter Fleet

UK-based Titan Airways has welcomed its first Embraer E190 regional jet, marking a return to smaller aircraft operations for the first time since the 1990s. The 12-year-old aircraft, re-registered as G-POWX, was delivered on June 27, 2025, and joins Titan’s growing passenger and cargo fleet.

The newly acquired E190 LR, previously operated by Air Astana and MAI Myanmar Airways International, has been in storage since 2023. Titan now plans to use it for both regional ACMI services and ad-hoc charters across the UK and Europe. It will initially fly in a two-class layout with nine business and 88 economy seats, with a 100-seat all-economy configuration also available.

“With a range of 2,400 nautical miles and the ability to access restrictive airports like London City, Florence, and Berne, the E190 is a perfect fit for short- and medium-haul operations,” said Alex Harrington, Titan’s Commercial Director. “It offers a more fuel-efficient option for the 70+ seat charter market.”

The E190 complements Titan’s existing fleet of 13 Airbus aircraft, including A320s, A321neos, and A330s, as well as three A321 freighters operated by its Maltese subsidiary. Titan also operates an Embraer Phenom 300 light jet for executive charters and crew positioning.

Known for its charter work for sports teams, corporations, and tour operators, Titan Airways continues to expand its capacity for flexible ACMI solutions. Harrington confirmed the airline is exploring further E-Jet acquisitions to meet rising demand.
