Air Canada is expanding its Latin American network with four new routes for the Winter 2025-26 season, including the return of nonstop service to Lima, Peru. The airline will operate twice-weekly flights from both Montreal-Trudeau (YUL) and Toronto Pearson (YYZ) to Lima’s Jorge Chavez International Airport (LIM), beginning this winter.

In addition to Lima, the airline is launching three brand-new routes:

  • Montreal to Belize City (BZE), Belize
  • Toronto to Puerto Escondido (PXM), Mexico
  • Vancouver to Tepic (TPQ), Riviera Nayarit, Mexico

These new routes complement 13 Latin America routes previously announced in May 2025, solidifying Air Canada’s push into warm-weather leisure markets during the colder months.

“Air Canada is further diversifying its global network this winter under its New Frontiers Strategy,” said Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. “These new flights are designed to meet strong demand for travel to South and Central America and Mexico’s coastal regions, while also supporting cargo growth.”

The airline is targeting travelers from both Canada and Europe with easy connections to these tropical destinations. The move also supports Air Canada’s growing cargo network in Latin America.

Galardo highlighted the appeal of each location, from Peru’s archaeological sites and the Belize Barrier Reef to Mexico’s emerging vacation hotspots like Puerto Escondido and Tepic.

“These are exciting additions for winter travelers,” he said. “We look forward to welcoming passengers onboard our award-winning service.”
