The iconic Waldorf Astoria New York has unveiled its historic restoration, blending timeless Art Deco elegance with modern luxury to redefine upscale hospitality in Manhattan. Once described by Conrad Hilton as “The Greatest of Them All,” the hotel’s revitalization brings back its 1931 grandeur through the work of expert artisans and craftsmen.

Chris Nassetta, president and CEO of Hilton, emphasized the hotel’s legacy, calling it “the most important hotel in the world” and highlighting its role in shaping luxury hospitality. The transformation marks a new chapter for the landmark property, with a design that celebrates its heritage while introducing cutting-edge technology and contemporary elegance.

The reimagined hotel now features 375 expansive guest rooms and 272 luxury residences—down from the original 1,400-room layout. Accommodations include more than 11 room types, each styled with soft leathers, polished wood, tailored furnishings, and spa-like marble bathrooms featuring walk-in showers and dressing areas. Rooms are designed to feel like upscale apartments with zones for sleeping, living, and working.

Three new culinary venues elevate the guest experience. Peacock Alley offers classic elegance with signature cocktails and the historic Waldorf clock. Lex Yard serves as the hotel’s signature brasserie with elevated American cuisine in a stylish 220-seat setting. Yoshoku presents an intimate six-course Japanese dining journey beside the hotel’s iconic “Wheel of Life” mosaic.

The Waldorf Astoria’s restoration honors its legendary past while setting a new benchmark for luxury stays in New York City. Reservations are now open for both hotel rooms and residences.
