Margaritaville at Sea Reveals Name of New Ship: Beachcomber

Margaritaville at Sea has revealed that its third cruise ship will be named Beachcomber, continuing the brand’s beach-inspired, family-friendly approach to cruising. The announcement was shared with Cruise Critic, along with early details about the vessel’s design and onboard features.
The 3,450-passenger Beachcomber will include signature amenities found on the line’s existing ships, such as the 5 O’Clock Somewhere pool bar, Hemisphere Dancer bar, and the Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurant. Guests will also have access to the popular License to Chill package, which bundles drinks, Wi-Fi, and specialty dining.
“With Beachcomber, we wanted to create a design that captures the spirit of fun, warmth, and relaxed adventure,” said Martha Brabham, head of design at Margaritaville at Sea. “We drew inspiration from nostalgic beach scenes, vintage surf art, and the carefree escapism that defines our brand.”
The new ship will be the largest in the Margaritaville at Sea fleet and will introduce 15 exclusive onboard experiences, with more details expected in the coming months. The cruise line aims to enhance the immersive and playful atmosphere that has become a hallmark of its voyages.
While the official launch date has not been announced, Beachcomber will remain in service with Costa Cruises under the name Costa Fortuna through late 2026. Its future homeport and itineraries are set to be revealed later this summer.
CEO Christopher Ivy described the ship as a bold step forward, promising a more dynamic and entertaining experience for guests of all ages.
