Aero to Launch Hawaii Flights With Gulfstream Jet

Aero, the U.S.-based semi-private carrier, will expand its network this autumn by launching scheduled flights to Hawaii using its first Gulfstream GIV. The new service will connect Van Nuys Airport in Los Angeles with Kahului on Maui, operating every Saturday with returns on Sundays. Reservations open November 22, with flights running through April 4, 2026.
The move marks Aero’s debut in Hawaii and the introduction of Gulfstream aircraft into its fleet. While specific details about the new GIV remain undisclosed, the aircraft is expected to support additional long-haul routes, including Aero’s popular Teterboro service. The addition reflects the company’s strategy to offer premium travel experiences on longer-distance markets.
Currently, Aero operates under a Part 135 certificate through USAC Airways 695, LLC. Its fleet includes four 16-seat Embraer 135s and a Legacy 600 configured for up to 13 passengers. These aircraft are deployed across a mix of scheduled services and private charters to destinations such as Aspen, Las Vegas, Napa, Salt Lake City, Sun Valley, Teterboro, and Palm Springs.
Earlier this year, Aero secured commuter air carrier authorization from the U.S. Department of Transportation, giving the company the regulatory flexibility to expand scheduled passenger services. The approval came more than two years after Aero’s initial application.
By adding Hawaii to its route map, Aero is positioning itself as a growing player in the premium semi-private market, offering travelers greater convenience, exclusivity, and direct access to high-demand leisure destinations.
