GE Aerospace’s FlightPulse App Tops 60,000 Pilot Users

GE Aerospace’s FlightPulse app, a pioneering flight data and safety platform, has surpassed 60,000 commercial pilot users worldwide—up from 40,000 a year ago. The company expects that number to exceed 70,000 by the end of 2025, underscoring its growing influence in the aviation technology space.
Developed by GE Aerospace’s Software as a Service (SaaS) division, FlightPulse enables pilots to analyze their individual flight performance using actual operational data. The app helps compare metrics such as fuel efficiency, descent angles, and landing profiles, providing insights to enhance both safety and cost efficiency. Airlines subscribe to the service on a per-pilot basis, making it a valuable tool for training and operational optimization.
Since its debut in 2017, FlightPulse has become integral to flight operations for 42 airlines, including Delta Air Lines, Qantas, and NetJets. By allowing post-flight analytics, it gives pilots data-driven feedback rather than relying on subjective reports. Qantas Captain Mark Cameron noted that the app helps fine-tune techniques when transitioning between aircraft types, such as the A330 and A321. Aggregated FlightPulse data has helped Qantas cut fuel burn and maintenance costs by encouraging pilots to use less reverse thrust when safe.
Privacy remains central to FlightPulse’s design—each airline accesses only its own data. According to Andrew Coleman, head of GE’s SaaS division, the app provides airlines with secure, customizable ecosystems tailored to their needs.
GE Aerospace plans to expand FlightPulse to more than 100,000 users by 2026, integrating real-time analytics and sustainability insights. As aviation embraces digital transformation, FlightPulse is fast becoming a key tool for advancing flight performance, efficiency, and safety worldwide.
