United Airlines Moves to Dismiss Lawsuit Over Windowless Seats

United Airlines has asked a federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit alleging the carrier improperly charged passengers extra for “window seats” that did not actually have windows. The complaint, filed earlier this year, argues that travelers paid premium fees expecting a traditional window view only to discover solid cabin walls beside their assigned seats.
United contends that the claims lack legal merit and says seat maps and aircraft configurations are disclosed during booking. The airline argues that any misunderstanding does not constitute deceptive or unfair business practices. The court will now determine whether the case can proceed or be dismissed at this early stage.
