flydubai to Equip Full Fleet With Starlink In-Flight Internet by 2026

flydubai has announced a partnership with SpaceX to install Starlink in-flight internet across its entire fleet beginning in 2026. The agreement marks a major step in enhancing onboard connectivity and follows the airline’s landmark order for up to 150 Airbus A321neo family aircraft—its first Airbus purchase.

Revealed on day two of the Dubai Airshow 2025, the deal confirms Starlink as the inflight connectivity provider for flydubai’s Boeing 737 fleet. Installation on 100 aircraft is scheduled to roll out in 2026, bringing high-speed broadband access to passengers traveling to more than 100 destinations.

“Reliable connectivity has become essential, and our partnership with Starlink allows us to meet the evolving expectations of today’s travelers,” said Ghaith Al Ghaith, flydubai CEO.

The Starlink service will offer high-speed, low-latency internet capable of supporting streaming, online gaming, video calls and other bandwidth-intensive applications. Passengers will be able to enjoy HD streaming and real-time digital services simultaneously—features typically associated with home broadband rather than aircraft Wi-Fi.

“We’re excited to team up with flydubai and bring Starlink to its entire fleet, delivering connectivity that’s similar, if not better, than what you experience in your own home,” said Chad Gibbs, vice president of Starlink Business Operations at SpaceX.

As of late 2025, more than 15 airlines have committed to Starlink-powered Wi-Fi, including Hawaiian Airlines, Alaska Airlines, United, Qatar Airways, Air France and WestJet. Others such as SAS, British Airways, Air New Zealand and Emirates are preparing for installation as the demand for next-generation in-flight internet continues to grow.
