Sandals Launches “Hint the Caribbean” Holiday Toolkit

Sandals Resorts has introduced a playful, low-pressure way for couples to hint at their dream vacation with the launch of its new “Hint the Caribbean” Toolkit, designed to help partners nudge gift-givers toward a Caribbean getaway while also offering a chance to win a luxury escape.

The downloadable DIY toolkit was developed in response to findings from a survey conducted by the Sandals Institute of Romance, which polled more than 1,000 consumers in holiday relationships to better understand gift-giving challenges. The results revealed widespread dissatisfaction with traditional holiday gifts and a strong preference for shared experiences.

According to the survey, 72 percent of respondents admitted they have been disappointed by a holiday gift from their partner, while 46 percent said they do not clearly remember gifts received in previous years. Nearly 60 percent have returned or considered returning a partner’s gift, and one in six said their partner’s gift-giving often misses the mark. More than a third of respondents said they feel uncomfortable directly telling their partner what they want, and 49 percent rely on subtle hints that frequently go unnoticed. Notably, 42 percent said their favorite relationship memory came from a shared experience rather than a material gift.

The Hint the Caribbean Toolkit includes unmistakable vacation cues such as Sandals’ signature jerk chicken recipes, favorite rum cocktail ideas, a Caribbean-inspired playlist, and other tropical touches. Each download also serves as an entry for a chance to win a four-night stay at any Sandals resort.

Alongside the toolkit, Sandals is running its “Gift the Caribbean” sale, offering travelers up to USD1,000 in savings, a USD299 resort credit, one free night, and a USD100 online booking bonus on select stays. The promotion applies to bookings made between December 9, 2025, and January 2, 2026, for travel through December 25, 2027, at 11 Sandals all-inclusive resorts in destinations including Jamaica, Curaçao, and St. Lucia. Participating properties include Sandals Dunn’s River in Jamaica and Sandals Regency La Toc in St. Lucia.

Beaches Resorts is extending similar offers to families through its own “Gift the Caribbean” promotion. The family-friendly deal includes USD500 in savings, a USD200 resort credit, and a USD100 web booking bonus. The offer is valid for bookings made from December 9, 2025, through January 2, 2026, for travel through December 17, 2026, and applies to all Beaches Resorts, including Beaches Turks & Caicos and Beaches Negril in Jamaica.
