BermudAir Launches AnguillAir With Seasonal US Routes

Share

Bermuda-based carrier BermudAir has unveiled a new sub-brand, AnguillAir, marking a strategic expansion of its seasonal network in the Caribbean and North American markets. The launch introduces nonstop services linking Anguilla with three major US gateways: Boston Logan International Airport, Newark Liberty International Airport, and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.

The inaugural flights are scheduled to commence on December 17, 18, and 19 respectively, aligning with peak winter travel demand. All three routes will operate on a seasonal basis, with twice-weekly frequencies planned through April 2026. The schedule is designed to cater to leisure travelers seeking direct access to Anguilla during the high season, while also appealing to second-home owners and visiting friends and relatives traffic from the northeastern United States.

AnguillAir has been developed with its own branding, visual identity, and market positioning, allowing BermudAir to tailor its offering specifically to the Anguilla market. Despite the distinct identity, AnguillAir does not hold a separate air operator’s certificate. All flights under the AnguillAir brand will be operated by BermudAir using the parent carrier’s existing regulatory approvals and operational framework.

According to the airline, the introduction of AnguillAir represents the first phase of a broader growth strategy focused on launching additional seasonal services under differentiated brands. This approach allows BermudAir to test new markets, optimize capacity, and build brand awareness in destination-specific contexts without the complexity of establishing standalone airlines.

Fleet data from ch-aviation indicates that BermudAir currently operates a small but versatile regional jet fleet comprising two Embraer E175s and two Embraer E190s. These aircraft are well suited to the new routes, offering the range and capacity needed for medium-haul Caribbean-US services while maintaining operating efficiency and schedule flexibility.

The AnguillAir launch underscores BermudAir’s ambition to position itself as a niche carrier connecting underserved island destinations with key North American cities. By leveraging seasonal demand and targeted branding, the airline aims to strengthen its presence in the Caribbean market while expanding its network reach beyond Bermuda.
