Boeing Signs Record Landing Gear Deal With SIA

Boeing has secured the largest landing gear exchange contract in its history, signing a long-term agreement with Singapore Airlines Group covering more than 75 aircraft across its 737 MAX and 787 fleets.
The deal was announced at the Singapore Airshow 2026 and marks a major milestone for Boeing Global Services. Under the agreement, Boeing will provide landing gear exchange support for over 75 aircraft operated by the Singapore Airlines Group, streamlining overhaul cycles and reducing aircraft downtime.
According to Boeing, its Landing Gear Exchange program offers airlines greater scheduling flexibility for gear overhauls. By providing ready-to-use landing gear assemblies from a managed pool of inventory, the program enables carriers to swap out components quickly rather than waiting for lengthy repair or overhaul processes. This approach helps optimize the service life of landing gear systems while minimizing the time aircraft spend on the ground.
“Our relationship with the SIA Group is built on delivering dependable solutions,” said William Ampofo, senior vice president of Parts & Distribution and Supply Chain at Boeing Global Services. “This agreement helps deliver parts faster and closer to operations, reducing downtime and supporting consistent, reliable service.”
Boeing’s Landing Gear Exchange model reduces the need for airlines to hold large spare inventories, lowers maintenance-related aircraft-on-ground time and enhances overall fleet reliability. The agreement strengthens Boeing’s long-standing partnership with Singapore Airlines, one of its key global customers.
The contract also reflects growing global demand for the exchange program. On the same day, Boeing announced it had completed its 100th 787 Landing Gear Exchange delivery for All Nippon Airways. The Japanese carrier uses the program to support its 787-8 and 787-9 fleets and has installed exchange landing gear assemblies on approximately 30 aircraft.
Boeing said additional customers have recently signed agreements covering a combined total of 65 landing gear exchanges for their 787 fleets, though it did not disclose specific airline names.
The record agreement with Singapore Airlines underscores Boeing’s expanding aftermarket services business, as airlines seek cost-efficient maintenance solutions to support high aircraft utilization and long-term fleet performance.
