Azamara 2027 Alaska Cruisetours Expand Rockies

Azamara Cruises has unveiled new details of its 2027 Alaska cruisetours, expanding immersive land programs that pair with the line’s longer Alaska sailings. The announcement follows strong early feedback ahead of Azamara’s return to Alaska in 2026, with guests signaling high demand for deeper, experience-driven journeys.
According to Shandra Stoeterau, director of land product development at Azamara Cruises, guest insights played a key role in shaping the 2027 lineup. The programs are designed to extend the company’s Destination Immersion philosophy beyond coastal ports and into Alaska’s interior and the Canadian Rockies, while maintaining a seamless, one-stop travel experience.
Azamara’s 2027 Alaska cruisetours will be offered as four-, five- and six-night land programs, paired with 10- and 11-night Alaska voyages. Packages include hotel accommodations, transfers, luggage handling, guided tours, select meals and attraction admissions. Select departures also connect with transpacific sailings from northern Japan, allowing travelers to explore Japan before crossing the Pacific and continuing their journey inland through Alaska and Canada.
The four-night Alaska Explorer Cruisetour, available as a pre- or post-cruise option, highlights the state’s cultural and natural heritage. Guests cruise the Chena River aboard a historic sternwheeler, pan for gold, ride in a deluxe dome railcar and explore Denali National Park on the Tundra Wilderness Tour. Additional experiences include a jet boat excursion in Talkeetna and interactive programming at the Alaska Native Heritage Center.
Two five-night Canadian Rockies cruisetours feature travel aboard the renowned Rocky Mountaineer. The GoldLeaf Service program includes bi-level dome seating, gourmet dining and access to outdoor viewing platforms, with stops in Banff National Park, Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, along with a scenic gondola ride. The SilverLeaf Service option offers panoramic railcars and at-seat meal service, providing a more value-focused alternative while showcasing the same dramatic landscapes.
The six-night Banff, Lake Louise and Whistler cruisetour begins in Calgary and concludes in Vancouver. Guests explore the Rockies through scenic drives, wildlife viewing, wine tastings and a guided Vancouver city tour.
With expanded land experiences and rail partnerships, Azamara’s 2027 Alaska cruisetours aim to deliver extended, immersive journeys that combine small-ship cruising with iconic inland exploration.
