Korean Air is highlighting its expanding aerospace and defense capabilities at Drone Show Korea 2026, Asia’s largest drone exhibition, taking place at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO). The three-day event, running February 25–27, brings together more than 300 companies from 23 countries to showcase the latest developments in unmanned systems and advanced air mobility.

At this year’s exhibition, Korean Air is presenting a range of artificial intelligence-powered unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and next-generation aerospace technologies, underscoring its ambitions beyond traditional airline operations.

The airline’s display is divided into two main areas. The Drone Zone features the domestic debut of an AI-powered subsonic UAV developed in collaboration with US defense technology firm Anduril Industries. The exhibit also includes AI-enabled multi-purpose UAVs, loitering munitions, communication relay drones, and maintenance, repair, and overhaul solutions supported by drone swarm technologies. These systems reflect Korean Air’s growing focus on autonomous operations and defense applications.

In the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Zone, Korean Air is showcasing its proprietary operations and traffic management platform, ACROSS (Air Control and Routing Orchestrated Skyway System). The system is designed to manage and coordinate urban air mobility traffic safely and efficiently. The zone also features a mockup of an electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft developed by strategic partner Archer Aviation, highlighting the airline’s involvement in emerging eVTOL networks.

Beyond the exhibition floor, Korean Air is hosting a series of technology seminars. On February 25, the company outlined its UAV capabilities and long-term technology roadmap. On February 26, it is scheduled to participate in a joint AAM seminar with Archer Aviation, followed by memorandum of understanding signing ceremonies with global advanced air mobility partners.

A Korean Air representative said the event provides an important platform to demonstrate the airline’s growing expertise in AI-driven software and next-generation aerospace systems, as it works toward becoming a comprehensive aerospace company.

Drone Show Korea 2026 also features demonstrations of defense systems, smart mobility platforms, and urban air mobility solutions. Separate drone light shows are scheduled at Gwangalli Beach and Ttukseom Hangang Park, further highlighting the rapid evolution of unmanned aviation technologies across Asia.
